Binary Converter

Enter a binary number of any length and see it in decimal, hexadecimal and octal at once. Large values stay exact, and the bit-grouping panel shows nibbles, bytes and the two's-complement pattern for negative numbers.

How to use the Binary Converter

  1. Type a binary number (0s and 1s, optional 0b prefix).
  2. Read the decimal, octal and hexadecimal values.
  3. Check the bit grouping in nibbles and bytes.
  4. Switch the input base to convert from another system.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a size limit?

Inputs can be up to 4,096 digits. Calculations use arbitrary-precision integers, so there is no rounding.

How are negative numbers shown?

With a minus sign in every base. For binary, the tool also shows the two's-complement bit pattern at the smallest standard width (8, 16, 32 or 64 bits…).

Can I paste spaced binary like 1010 1100?

Yes. Spaces and underscores are ignored, and a 0b prefix is accepted.
