URL Encoder
Encode text so it can be safely placed in a URL. Component mode escapes every reserved character for use in a single query value, full-URL mode keeps the structure of an address intact, and form mode turns spaces into + as HTML forms do. When the input is a URL, its protocol, host, path, query parameters and fragment are listed in a table.

Frequently asked questions
When should I use component instead of full-URL mode?
Use component mode for a piece of a URL, such as one query value or path segment. Full-URL mode is for a complete address where : / ? & = # must stay as they are.
Why are spaces sometimes %20 and sometimes +?
In URLs a space is %20. HTML forms use the older form encoding, where a space becomes +. Choose Form mode to get +.
How are non-English characters encoded?
They are converted to UTF-8 bytes and each byte is written as %XX. For example é becomes %C3%A9.
