Frequently asked questions

Which input formats are supported?

Hex (#rgb, #rgba, #rrggbb, #rrggbbaa), rgb()/rgba(), hsl()/hsla() including deg, rad and turn units, hsv()/hsb(), cmyk() and CSS colour names.

Why does converting to HSL and back change my colour slightly?

HSL values are rounded to whole numbers for display, which can shift a channel by one step. Use the HEX or RGB value when you need an exact match.

Does it support newer CSS colour spaces like OKLCH?

Not yet. It covers the sRGB-based formats used by most tools: HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV and CMYK.
