Frequently asked questions

How is GPA calculated?

Each course grade is converted to grade points and multiplied by its credits. The sum of those quality points is divided by the total credits attempted.

What is the Bangladesh UGC grading scale?

It is the uniform scale used by Bangladeshi universities: A+ (80–100) = 4.00, A = 3.75, A- = 3.50, B+ = 3.25, B = 3.00, B- = 2.75, C+ = 2.50, C = 2.25, D (40–44) = 2.00 and F (below 40) = 0.00.

Why might my university report a slightly different GPA?

Institutions differ on repeated courses, pass/fail courses and whether they round or truncate. Use the Truncate option if your university cuts GPA to two decimals, and check your handbook for its exact rules.

How do I calculate CGPA across semesters?

Enter the total credits you completed before this semester and your current CGPA. The tool combines those quality points with this semester’s to give the new cumulative figure.
