Inventory Management Tool

A lightweight stock tracker for small shops, makers and stores. Add items with SKU, category, cost, price, opening quantity and reorder level, then record each delivery or sale as a dated stock movement with a note. The tool keeps quantities on hand up to date, highlights items at or below their reorder level and values your stock at cost and retail.

How to use the Inventory Management Tool

  1. Add items manually or import a CSV with columns such as sku, name, category, unit cost, price, qty and reorder level.
  2. Record stock in for deliveries and stock out for sales or damage.
  3. Use search, the category filter or "Low stock only" to find items.
  4. Watch the low-stock alert and overview for reorder needs and stock value.
  5. Export items and movements to CSV as a backup.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my inventory stored?

In your browser's local storage on this device only. Clearing browser data or switching devices will not carry it over, so export a CSV regularly as a backup.

What CSV format can I import?

A header row followed by one item per row. Recognised columns include sku, name, category, unit cost (or cost), price, qty (or quantity) and reorder level. Rows whose SKU matches an existing item update that item.

Can stock go negative?

No. A stock-out larger than the quantity on hand is rejected, so your counts stay realistic.

Can several people use it at once?

No. It is a single-user tool for one browser. For shared, multi-location stock control you need a hosted inventory system.
