Random Number Generator

Pick random numbers between any minimum and maximum, including both ends. Generate a single number or up to 10,000, choose integers or a fixed number of decimal places, prevent repeats and sort the results. Numbers come from a cryptographically secure source with unbiased selection, so every value is equally likely.

Frequently asked questions

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. With a range of 1 to 10 every number from 1 to 10, including 1 and 10, has the same chance.

How random are these numbers?

They use crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographically secure generator, with rejection sampling to avoid the bias that simple modulo arithmetic introduces.

Why can I not generate more unique numbers?

Unique numbers cannot repeat, so you cannot ask for more than exist in the range. For example 1 to 10 has only ten unique integers.
