Frequently asked questions

Why do some reversers break emoji?

Many emoji are stored as several code units or joined characters. Reversing them unit by unit scrambles them. This tool reverses whole user-perceived characters, so emoji stay correct.

Does reversing words keep punctuation attached?

Yes. Words are separated by spaces, so punctuation stays with the word it is next to, for example "world!" stays "world!".

Can I check if a sentence is a palindrome?

Reverse the characters and compare. Remember that true palindromes usually ignore spaces, punctuation and case.
